The 41-year-old former One Show presenter and Match of the Day pundit was sacked by the BBC last week for sending inappropriate messages to two female colleagues.

After the broadcast, Jenas apologised for his behaviour. However, new reports suggest that TNT bosses will further discuss Jenas’ future during the upcoming international break and try to gather more information on his departure from the BBC.

TNT’s first live Premier League match after the break will be Manchester United’s away game at Southampton on September 14, kicking off at 12.30pm on Saturday.

A more likely return could come midweek next week when the Champions League resumes. TNT gave Jenas more control over the matches, giving her more room for a low-key comeback as a commentator or pundit.

Shortly after her firing from the BBC was confirmed last week, Jenas issued a heartfelt apology.

“I am embarrassed and deeply sorry,” she told The Sun in an interview. “I’ve let myself down, my family, my friends and my colleagues and I owe everyone an apology, particularly the women I chatted to. I am truly, truly sorry.”

“I’m sorry for what I’ve done to them. I think it’s fair to say I have a problem. I know I sabotage myself and have self-destructive tendencies especially when it comes to relationships, and I know I need help. And I will get help.

“I’ve made a lot of mistakes and I’m asking myself a lot of questions right now. We still have a lot of work ahead of us and we know it will be difficult.” The Match of the Day presenter worked as a BBC pundit during Euro 2024 and appeared regularly on BBC programmes
