Police have announced that they have launched a murder investigation after the body of a 59-year-old man was discovered in a property in Huddersfield.
West Yorkshire Police said officers were called to Park Road, in the Crosland Moor area, at 8.19pm on Thursday following reports of a sudden death.
The victim was found inside the property with serious injuries, police added.
In a statement on Saturday, police said a murder investigation had been launched.
Detective Chief Inspector Michael Cox said: “We heard sometime in the evening.
“We understand this incident has caused anxiety in the local community and officers are conducting reassurance patrols in the area.”
