Spotify is down and not working right now with thousands hit by mass outage.
If you’re trying to play a song on Spotify and it’s not working, you’re not alone. The popular app and music player is down, preventing thousands of people, including many in the UK, from accessing their playlists or listening to podcasts.
This highly frustrating issue appears to have started just after 5pm BST and is still ongoing almost an hour later. There’s no information on what’s causing the problem, but it seems to be a big one.
DownDetector, which tracks outages worldwide, reports a significant increase in the number of people complaining that Spotify isn’t working properly. In fact, there are now over 3,000 reports in the UK alone, meaning it’s a huge problem.
Many Spotify users are also now venting their anger on social media.
