A prosecutor told a court today that Madeleine McCann thinks Christian Brueckner is a dangerous pedophile and a serial rapist.

Madeleine, who was three years old at the time, was abducted and killed in Praia da Luz in May 2007. Because he raped an American pensioner in the Portuguese resort, he is currently serving a seven-year sentence in prison. Brueckner is being tried in Germany for alleged Algarve sex crimes that have nothing to do with each other.

Prosecutor Ute Lindemann urged the judge to convict and sentence the paedophile to 15 years in prison in her closing remarks to the trial, which could conclude next week.

The worst-case scenario for Madeleine investigators is that Brueckner will be released next year if he is cleared. Today, Judge Ute Engemann made it clear that she might give a verdict in the ongoing case on Tuesday.

Despite claiming to have evidence that Madeleine is dead, detectives appear no closer to establishing that Brueckner was responsible for her disappearance. They would feel more pressure to charge Brueckner for Madeleine’s disappearance if they were found not guilty.

Between the years 2000 and 2017, sickening crimes are alleged to have been committed in the Algarve by Brueckner. In July, Judge Engemann ruled that the evidence against him was “insufficient,” which strongly suggests that he will be found not guilty.

The alleged rape of Irish tour rep Hazel Behan, who was attacked in her Praia da Rocha apartment in 2004, is one of the charges brought against Brueckner. He is also accused of raping an elderly woman in her vacation apartment and a teenage girl in his Praia da Luz home.

Behan, an Irish victim, was represented by Andreas Zott, who stated that it was evident that Brueckner is a serial rapist who attacked multiple women in Portugal. He stated to Judge Ute Engemann that she had received sufficient evidence throughout the trial to find him guilty of the crimes.

For allegedly exposing himself to a German girl on a Salema beach in April 2007, Brueckner is facing a child sex charge. His final charge involves an alleged indecent exposure in 2017 in front of an 11-year-old. Brueckner is a “serial rapist,” chief public prosecutor Lindemann told the Braunschweig regional court today.

She stated that the rapes and the pensioner’s attack, for which he is currently in jail, share “eye-catching” similarities. The rapes also echoed Brueckner’s vile fantasy tales about women and children, according to the prosecutor.

According to Ms. Lindemann, he “got a kick out of the suffering” his victims endured prior to and following the attack. She stated: It’s about how fun it is to get an innocent person and enjoy torturing and enslaving them. His fundamental fantasies involve helpless female victims.

The accused was the sole perpetrator of all of these rapes.” Brueckner, who was sitting with his legal team, stared at the prosecutor as she spoke, occasionally taking notes. His trial is scheduled to conclude in a month.

The British child, who was three years old at the time, was on vacation with her family in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in May 2007 when she was allegedly kidnapped and killed by Brueckner.

He has denied any contribution in her vanishing. If Brueckner were found not guilty in his current trial, German prosecutors would be under more pressure to charge him for Madeleine’s disappearance. If he is found not guilty of the charges, they are likely to file an appeal with a higher German court.

It was also reported today that the trial of Christian Brueckner might end next week. It was anticipated that his trial in Braunschweig would conclude in December; however, it may now conclude in days. Today, Judge Ute Engemann made it clear that she might give a verdict in the ongoing case on Tuesday.

After being urged to sentence Brueckner to 15 years in prison for the alleged crimes in the Algarve, she made the announcement. In July, Judge Engemann ruled that the evidence against him was “insufficient,” which strongly suggests that he will be found not guilty.

The worst-case scenario for Madeleine investigators is that Brueckner will be released next year if he is cleared. Despite claiming to have evidence that she is dead, the detectives appear no closer to establishing that he was the one responsible for her disappearance.

They would feel more pressure to charge Brueckner for Madeleine’s disappearance if they were found not guilty. If he is found not guilty, the prosecution is likely to take their case to a higher German court for appeal.

Between the years 2000 and 2017, sickening crimes are alleged to have been committed in the Algarve by Brueckner. They include the 2004 assault in the Praia da Rocha apartment of Irish tour rep Hazel Behan, who is alleged to have been raped.
