After an 18-year-old girl was raped on a night out in Newcastle, police have released a photo of a man they want to talk to.
The 18-year-old met a man on a night out in the Newcastle city center on April 27, according to Northumbria Police.
In a subsequent social media post, the police added, “The man is reported to have raped the woman while still in the city center between 1am and 1.30am the following morning.”
According to officers, the man in the photo “was in the area at the time the rape is reported to have taken place.”
According to the force’s officers, “he may be able to assist with our inquiries,”
The victim was also being “supported by specially-trained officers,” and “extensive investigations have been carried out since the report was first made,” according to the police.
