Donald Trump visited McDonald’s on Sunday and worked there briefly before the November 5 election. Documents show the restaurant failed its most recent health inspection.
The restaurant remained closed to the public during Trump’s visit. The Republican presidential candidate operated a fry station and served takeaway food to customers in a drive-thru lane at Feasterville-Trevose, a key voter constituency in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.

The former president, who claims to be a germaphobe and a big McDonald’s fan, said he wore an apron over his shirt but no gloves or hairnet and that his hands were “nice and clean.” Meidas Touch claims he went to work without washing his hands.
McDonald’s Restaurant Fails Inspection
The restaurant’s most recent inspection failed because staff did not wash their hands.
After an inspection on March 27, the Bucks County Health Department documented health code violations, including employees’ failure to “clean and properly wash their hands.”
Additionally, employees were found to have not washed their hands before donning gloves and after performing multiple tasks that could have been contaminated.
“Food workers did not wash their hands as required before donning gloves, after handling dirty dishes, after handling raw meat, before handling clean dishes, utensils and utensils,” the district’s inspectors stated in their report. “Employees were observed handling raw beef with gloves and changing gloves without washing their hands in between.” The inspectors also noted that employees “failed to wear hair nets as required, which also applies to management.” Assist with packaging and preparation of food.”
Employees are required to wear hair covers, such as caps, nets or hair covers, to protect hair from contact with open food, the report said.
The restaurant was also criticized for not storing some foods at the proper temperature. The walk-in freezer had “a lot of ice and frost buildup” and needed maintenance and repairs.
Social Media Users Slam President Trump for Food Safety Violations
Meanwhile, some social media users criticized President Trump for not wearing gloves or hair protection. They also explained that his visit was a ploy because McDonald’s was closed.
“My issue with McDonald’s and Trump’s setup… they closed the place down. People lost their wages for men who don’t believe in paying overtime by the hour.” He didn’t wear gloves when handling the food. This is stupid,” one user wrote. Multiple food safety violations including no hair net or gloves. Disgusting,” another wrote.
“Trump handles food with his bare hands, without gloves. This is a violation of health and safety regulations,” warned a third user.
Journalist Seth Abramson said: “McDonald’s closed. Customers were wrong. Trump did nothing.”
He wasn’t working. There were no customers. McDonalds closed at trump’s request for a photo op.
