In an incredibly brave protest, a young woman walks the streets in her underwear in protest against Iran’s brutal modesty code after women have died after being brutally arrested

In a bold protest against Iran’s stringent dress code laws, a brave university student was “violently arrested” after stripping to her underwear.

On November 2, the unidentified young woman staged her daring demonstration outside of Tehran’s Islamic Azad University.

She is first seen sitting on a wall in her underwear in the shocking footage before she starts walking through a busy crowd. The harsh regime in Iran enforces a strict dress code that requires all women to legally wear a head covering called a hijab.

The majority of women dress conservatively and avoid showing any bare skin for fear of being reported by the dreaded “morality police,” who are typically ardent female supporters of the Islamic regime.

Twitter Amnesty Iran demanded, after sharing the video on Twitter, ” The university student at Tehran’s Islamic Azad University was violently arrested on November 2 after she removed her clothes in protest against the abusive enforcement of compulsory veils by security officials. Iran’s authorities must immediately and unconditionally release the student.

“In the meantime, she must be shielded from torture and other cruel treatment by the authorities, and she must have access to her family and a lawyer.

“Independent and impartial investigations are required for allegations that she was sexually abused and beaten during her arrest. It is necessary to hold those accountable.”

In the year 2022, an Iranian woman named Mahsa Amini passed away after being detained by authorities for “not wearing her hijab correctly.” Her death sparked protests all over the world and prompted additional women to speak out against the oppressive state.

The Express reported that a security crackdown resulted in over 500 deaths and 22,000 police detentions.

Amir Mahjoub, director general of public relations at Islamic Azad University, wrote on X following the most recent protest: Campus security intervened and turned the student over to law enforcement after an inappropriate behavior by a student at the university’s science and research division.”

“The student’s actions are currently the subject of an investigation into their motives and underlying reasons.”

The woman may have been severely injured when she was taken off the street by security personnel during her arrest, according to reports. The student “disrobed after being harassed for not wearing a headscarf and having her clothing torn by security forces,” according to an Iranian student opposition group.

Amir Kabir said in the group’s newsletter that “bloodstains” were seen in the area and that the girl’s head might have been hit by a car door or a concrete pillar.
