In the US presidential campaign, Donald Trump running mate J.D. Vance has been trying for weeks to shake off the Democratic Party’s accusations that he is a “nutcase.”
But some enthusiastic Trump fans have made the task harder for Trump by introducing a strange new trend: carrying around cups that appear to contain J.D. Vance’s “sperm.”
Photos from a recent Trump event show supporters showing off the strange mugs. Some dangle them around their necks, while others proudly wave them in the air. The cups feature stickers with the running mate’s face and the words “J.D. Vance Full Family Kit.”
The strange endorsement is a reference to Vance’s comments attacking women like his Democratic rival Kamala Harris as “childless cat ladies.” In a 2021 interview with then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson, Vance claimed the United States is “run by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are unhappy with their lives and the choices they’ve made.”
He then reiterated his comments, saying, “This is just a basic fact — look at Kamala Harris, look at Pete Buttigieg, look at AOC — the entire future of the Democratic Party is controlled by people who don’t have children. And what’s the point in giving this country to people who have no direct stake in it?”
appear to show Trump fans approving of Vance’s divisive remarks. There users have taken to social media in shock and disbelief at the strange trend among Trump supporters. One user exclaimed: “Please tell me this isn’t true.”
Another commented in amazement: “Trump supporters are carrying around cups full of JD Vance sperm.”
Another user commented: “Funny Republicans mocking Democrats who can’t provide for their families with cups full of JD Vance sperm, JD Vance. #weird #jdvance #family #women #maga #KamalaHarris2024 #biden.”
Another commented: “Apparently they want to make fun of people who need artificial insemination like Tim Walz and his wife.”
Die, the full sperm opt really baffled some users. One person asked: “33 days into Vance’s comedy tour and supporters are holding semen in their hands. What are they going to do on day 66?”
Jennifer Aniston, who has spoken candidly about her own experience with IVF, expressed dismay at Vance’s comments on Instagram, sharing a screenshot of the interview to her story and writing: “I can’t believe this is coming from the US vice presidential candidate.
“All I can say is… Vance, I hope your daughter is lucky enough to have a child of her own one day. I hope she never has to turn to IVF as a second option, because you’re trying to take that away from her too.
Aniston also posted a clip of Kamala Harris discussing gender discrimination laws, highlighting the vice president’s pointed question: “Can you think of a law that gives the government the power to make decisions about men’s bodies?”
