Nag Ashwin’s Kalki, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, is due to hit theatres soon. The pre-release event was held in Mumbai on Wednesday night and was attended by all the major stars except Rana Daggubati.

At the event, Rana along with the other lead actors appeared on stage to talk about the film. Following Amitabh, Kamal and Prabhas, Deepika was called on stage.

As soon as Deepika got up from the sofa, a heavily pregnant Rana rushed to her aid, with Prabhas doing the same. However, Amitabh was seen asking her to wait as he wanted to help her on stage.

When she came down from the stage and Prabhas helped her, Amitabh hilariously scolded Prabhas for getting ahead of himself and dragged him behind, making fans and media laugh.

When Rana asked Deepika if she decided to continue with the role even after the film in which she plays a pregnant Sumati (or SUM-80) ended, she joked, “The film ran for three years and I thought why not for another nine months.

” She then also teased Prabhas by saying that Prabhas was responsible for the look of her pregnant belly. She said, “Actually the reason I ended up like this is because Prabhas gave me so much food. I can now get not just food but a complete catering service from my house. He feeds from the heart.

” Before heading to the event, Deepika shared a picture of herself in a stunning black dress and wrote, “Okay, enough is enough… I’m hungry now!”. The film is set in a dystopian future where the people of Kashi struggle to find basic resources.

The inverted pyramid structure has everything and living in the complex is something everyone dreams of. In the film, Prabhas plays a bounty hunter named Bhairava while Amitabh plays Aswatthama. Kamal plays supreme leader Yaskin. 2898 A.D. will hit theatres on June 27.
