Eamonn Holmes announced on Instagram on Sunday night that there would be some changes coming to GB News. The former ITV presenter sat at the GB News desk and explained:

“But you might be thinking, ‘he’s not at work, that’s different, there’s something different here’. We’ve got a new set design, it’s quite similar but for us it’s very different.

“It’s very different in terms of the lighting, it’s very different in terms of the height of the desk, the curvature of the desk. It used to be straight and now it’s quite curvy.”

“So I’ll be sitting on the other side of the table,” he continued, gesturing to where he and Isabel would be sitting. “Hopefully the show will be as great as ever and we’ll have the TRIC awards on Tuesday to prove it.

“Anyway, here’s the new look, send me a quick text and let me know what you think. Do you like it? Hope to see you tomorrow morning from 6am to 9.30am.”

Another said, “Eamonn you look great in every set! Looking forward to it!”

A third added: “Eamonn you look great in every set! Looking forward to it!” “I never liked straight tables as it looked very rude when I was talking to one of the guests and had to turn my back to the others so I like this curved table better, he looks more professional”

“Absolutely perfect, looking forward to seeing him in the morning,” another person shared.

Eamonn’s co-presenter Isabel also shared the news on her Instagram story via the GB News studio.

She simply wrote: “Come see our shiny new set.”

Breakfast with Eamonn & Isabel has been nominated for a TRIC Award alongside Good Morning Britain, BBC Breakfast and BBC News at Six.

In an earlier post, the TV star wrote: “Just found out @gbnews’ Breakfast has been shortlisted for @tricawardsuk’s Best News Programme for 2024. That was the moment we won last year! We were overwhelmed and delighted.

What’s special about TRICS is that it’s entirely based on public voting. A massive thank you to everyone who voted for us again this year – it’s a massive honour to be in the top four. We’ll be competing against GMB, BBC Breakfast and BBC News at 6pm. Best of luck! The ceremony is at the end of June.”
