England’s WAGs Force One flew to East Germany today to reinforce the squad ahead of Saturday’s Euro 2024 quarter-final against Switzerland.
A fleet of six private jets landed at half-hour intervals at Erfurt airport, close to the team’s luxury five-star spa hotel.
Three planes arrived from Düsseldorf to welcome some of the WAGs to Gelsenkirchen for an overnight stay following Sunday’s dramatic 2-1 win over Slovakia, while a fourth had taken off earlier from Birmingham.
On board were the players’ wives, girlfriends, boyfriends and relatives.
Among them were Jordan Pickford’s wife Megan (28), Aaron Ramsdale’s wife Georgina (28) and Jarrod Bowen’s girlfriend Dani Dyer (27), who wore cream knitted mini dresses and Louis Vuitton mules worth £790.
Also seen were Declan Rice’s partner Lauren Fryer (25), Ollie Watkins’ girlfriend Ellie Alderson (28), who was wearing Armani sunglasses, and Conor Gallagher’s girlfriend, Irish dancer Aine May Kennedy (27). A
bus picked up the women from the tarmac, before a Mercedes utility vehicle and a taxi took them for the 45-minute journey to the team hotel.
They spent seven hours with the players at the golf and spa resort of Weimarer Land before returning to England later in the evening.
Gareth Southgate gave his team the day off today as his coaching staff began preparations for the match against Switzerland in Düsseldorf.
After their 1-1 draw with Denmark in the group stage last month, the players’ families enjoyed a fun-filled day at camp, complete with bouncy castles and burger carts.
And Captain Harry Kane joked afterwards: “It was a fun day but maybe a little too long.”
Yesterday (Monday) England players were treated to a private concert by pop star Ed Sheeran, who has been supporting the team as a fan during the training camp and tournament.
