The band rediscovered the song while rehearsing for their newly launched summer tour of foo
Foo Fighters kicked off the UK leg of their 2024 tour in Manchester on Thursday night with a big surprise: the debut of the long-lost song “Unconditional.”
When we reached out to the band’s publicist for more information, we were told that the song was “partially written and demoed in a home studio session many years ago, but ultimately left unfinished.
” In true Foo Fighters style, the band’s rediscovery of “Unconditional” was spontaneous. The song came up during rehearsals for their UK tour, and after just one listen, the decision was made to include it in the same way to share with everyone.
Foo Fighters will play stadium concerts and festivals in the UK and Europe next month, before returning to the US in late summer for a string of tour dates that include shows with The Hives, Amyl and the Sniffers, and Alex G and L7. Check out their upcoming tour schedule below.
