Princes George and Louis, along with their sister Princess Charlotte, became the first royals to share a sweet Father’s Day message.

Together, the trio wished their father, Prince William, who is heir to the throne, all the best. The message was shared on the family’s official social media channels, alongside a photo of the happy foursome taken in Norfolk last month.

Today’s message marks the first time a post has been shared from the channels by the children’s signatures. This morning was a royal first. X’s message, formerly of Twitter, read: “We love you, Dad. Happy Father’s Day.”

Several royal fans reacted to the photo, with one writing: “The cutest photo ever. Happy Father’s Day William. Thank you for sharing this beautiful picture with us. As always, the Princess takes the best photos of her family,” and another saying: “Love this amazing photo. My dad was my dad too.”

He will be sorely missed,” while another added: “Prince William has such a great family. Enjoy your day.” In a social media post, the Prince of Wales revealed his affectionate nickname for the monarch, wished him “Happy Father’s Day, Pa W,” and posted a picture of a toddler next to the future king, with a tiny football at his feet

The picture was taken in the gardens of Kensington Palace on 12 June 1984, when William was not yet two years old, and later that same year William had one younger brother, the Prince of Sussex, born in September

The picture was released 24 hours after the royals stunned millions with their Trooping the Colour ceremony. While the King was being saluted during the Household Cavalry Parade, the children sat on the upper balcony with their mother, Kate, as she returned to royal life.

Once again, it was Prince Louis who stole the show. Luckily, he had his sister, Charlotte, to keep an eye on him throughout the ceremony. Millions of royal fans were thrilled on Friday when Kate Middleton, 42, announced at the last minute that she would be taking part in the Trooping the Colour parade with her three children.

While attending the parade, Princess Kate and the kids watched from the balcony. Louis was spotted playing with a blind cord during the event. But rather than getting out of control, Charlotte appears on the balcony, reminds Louis who’s the boss and tells him to stand up straight during the national anthem.
