UAE Weather: Heavy Rain and Hailstones expected in Sharjah

Rain of varying intensity – heavy, medium and light – fell in different parts of the UAE on Saturday, along with hail.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) announced heavy rain and small hail in Sharjah’s Firi region.

It announced moderate to light rain in Shaukha and Musairi in Ras Al Khaimah, and Al Madam in Sharjah.

The NCM predicted the development of cumulonimbus clouds accompanied by rain in some parts of the eastern part of the country.

Strong winds reaching 40 kilometres per hour are expected in these conditions, causing dust and reduced visibility.

This weather pattern is expected from 4 PM to 7 PM Saturday.
