Justin Timberlake has been arrested for Driving (under the influence) DUI.
The singer was driving a car in the Hamptons, Pennsylvania, when the incident occurred, reports
ABC News claims that law enforcement officials said the arrest happened Monday night in Sag Harbor, New York.
The 43-year-old is scheduled to appear in court today (Tuesday, June 18).
A representative for the Sag Harbor Police Department told TMZ that Timberlake is currently in custody at the station. They claim that the release of more information is imminent.
The publication also claims that Timberlake had dinner with friends at the hotel on Monday night.
At around 12:30am, he reportedly got into his car to return to his accommodation and was pulled over shortly after getting behind the wheel.”
“Justin was out to dinner with friends and, as always, there were police cars outside the restaurant,” a source also claimed to the Daily Mail.
“They’re looking for people leaving after midnight who may have been drinking.”
“Justin drove off in a vehicle at 12:30am but was quickly stopped. No one was injured and there was no disturbance at the scene.”
Timberlake has two concerts booked in Chicago this weekend as part of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, followed by two more at New York’s Madison Square Garden next week. His final performance was in Miami on June 15.
The pop star’s last social media post was on Sunday, celebrating Father’s Day with his sons Silas, 9, and Finneas, 3, with wife Jessica Biel.

The family of four moved to Nashville from Los Angeles a few years ago, and Jessica said the decision was motivated by a desire to get away from the paparazzi.
Speaking on SiriusXM’s “Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa,” she said.
