King Charles has brutal reaction when Prince Harry rings to discuss ‘battle’, expert says

Royal experts say King Charles responded harshly when Prince Harry called to discuss the ongoing battle to ensure the Sussexes’ safety.

Relations between Harry and other members of the royal family remain strained. Harry and his wife Meghan gave up their working royal roles in 2020 to forge their own path in the United States.

But royal expert Emily Andrews says there is “no bigger issue at stake” for Harry and his family, “other than security.”

This week it was reported that Prince Harry is continuing to battle with the Home Office over his taxpayer-funded security.

He lost his first appeal against the ruling but a two-day hearing is due to take place in April, marking the latest chapter in Prince Harry’s three-year battle with the British government. Prince Harry’s decision is thought to be driven by a desire to return to Britain more frequently.

Experts have argued that the former royal’s determination on the issue will further strain his relationship with his father, King Charles.

Emily Andrews wrote in Woman magazine: “I’ve left behind many old friends and trusted colleagues.

“Even my own father doesn’t take my calls now. When courtiers brought the phone, the King was heard to wave his hands in annoyance and run away (Charles does not have his own mobile phone).

“Not because there has been another argument, but probably because Harry wants to keep talking about his ongoing fight for safety. He has been fighting in court for four years and believes Charles has the power to heal himself.”

“Harry’s confidants say the King is no longer even responding to letters, and friends say he is ‘unreachable at the moment’ and not answering the phone.”

Prince Harry recently returned to the UK for a secret trip to attend his uncle’s memorial, flying back to the UK before the trip. It has become public.

However, it is understood he has no plans to return to the UK permanently as concerns remain over his and his family’s safety. Prince Harry turns 40 on Sunday (September 15).

A Buckingham Palace spokesman was contacted for comment.
