Shah Rukh Khan affectionately called Kohli the ‘Dharmad’ (son-in-law) of Bollywood and shed light on their long-standing friendship.
Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan could not contain his admiration for former Indian and RCB his captain Virat his Kohli. He affectionately referred to the legendary batsman as the ‘Dharmad’ (son-in-law) of Bollywood and shed light on their long-standing friendship.
Shah Rukh said that he spent a lot of time with Virat Kohli and that he is very close to his heart. He said that he has known Kohli and Anushka Sharma for a long time and that he has spent a lot of time with Kohli even during their relationship. King Khan didn’t stop with the praise. He shared a cute anecdote about how he taught Kohli the signature steps for the title song of his upcoming film “Pathaan”.
“I have spent a lot of time with him, I just love him. We would say he is our son-in-law and the ‘dharmad’ of our brotherhood. I know him best amongst the other players. I have known Virat and Anushka for a long time and have spent a lot of time with them.” I have known him since he was dating him and did a film with Anushka. So he spent many days with us and became very friendly,” Khan told Star Sports.
“I taught him the dance steps for the Pathan movie theme song. I saw him in an India match and he tried to dance with Ravindra Jadeja in that match. They did this dance step I tried to do the steps, but I was so disappointed that I did them so poorly.
I told them that when they dance at the next World Cup or other championships, they should at least call me and ask me how to do the steps. I said he should learn the steps,” Khan added.
Kolkata Knight Riders are at second position in the IPL 2024 points table.
This unforgettable interaction between Shahrukh Khan and Virat Kohli dates back to last season’s KKR vs RCB match where the famous step-a-cruz was caught on camera.
King Khan is a regular in his KKR games this IPL season while his team comfortably sits at his second place in the IPL 2024 points table. In contrast, Kohli’s RCB have endured a tough season, sitting at the bottom of the table with just three wins from 10 games.
