Noura Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General of the General Women’s Union (GWU), highlighted the unwavering support and gratitude Emirati women have received from their wise leadership since the foundation of the UAE.
On the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, celebrated annually on August 28, H.H. Al Suwaidi, Mother of the Nation, Chairperson of the General Women’s Union (GWU), Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak expressed her gratitude. Al Suwaidi said that Sheikha Fatima is a staunch supporter of Emirati women, playing a fundamental and effective role in strengthening and empowering women’s role in society.
Al Suwaidi stressed that Sheikha Fatima has been a global role model in supporting and empowering women, encouraging them to seize opportunities, realise their potential and contribute positively to the progress and wellbeing of the nation.
She said UAE Women’s Day celebrates the deep respect and admiration shown to UAE women and recognises their immense contribution to the country’s regeneration and transformation into a global leader.
Al Suwaidi conveyed her greetings and gratitude to all Emirati women for their exceptional roles and groundbreaking contributions. She noted that Emirati women have always demonstrated efficiency, excellence and dedication in all their endeavors.
