“Netflix knows that any scenes of Prince Harry with his guard down are of interest to the public,” according to a royal commentator.

Prince Harry is making a TV series about polo but Netflix is just happy to “squeeze something out of Prince Harry,” says one industry insider.

Harry and Meghan have a $100 million dollar contract with the streaming service, and since making the deal in 2020, they’ve released the six-part Harry & Meghan docuseries, Heart of Invictus and Live to Lead.

Currently, a “His and Hers” TV series is being released, focusing on Meghan’s lifestyle and Prince Harry’s polo, making them their fourth and fifth projects with Netflix.

To Di For Daily host and royal commentator Kinsey Schofield says “Polo seems like a last-ditch attempt to get something special out of Prince Harry.”

Schofield says that’s not the case with Netflix. They want no more of Sussex’s “low-brow” projects and want to get their money’s worth, and that means “luxury, glamor and sophisticated content.”

“Polo is that, but it’s also Prince Harry’s legitimate interest,” Ms Schofield said.

This issue has been criticized, with some saying polo is seen as an elitist sport and not appealing to Prince Harry’s more progressive fans, but Mr Schofield disagrees. “Netflix knows there’s a scene with Prince Harry on the cover that doesn’t stand out,” he said.

His Netflix documentary ‘Harry and Meghan’ premiered on December 8, 2022 and drew a record 81.6 million hours of viewership in its first week, which is equivalent to his equates to 28 million hours.

Based on the statistics above, it seems like Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are the ones people are paying attention to. That’s not the subject.
