Organised by Gulf Madhyamam in collaboration with Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, this year’s expo marks the 25th anniversary of Gulf Madhyamam and promises several firsts.

The expo, which is highly anticipated every year by the Indian community in the UAE, will return with a range of events. An economic summit is scheduled in Sharjah on June 5 to discuss investment opportunities in India and the UAE.

Come On Kerala will feature commercial exhibitions, entertainment, educational activities, cultural and musical events across three nights. The Indo-Arab Women’s Excellence Awards will recognise Indian and Arab women entrepreneurs.

A special drawing competition for children called “Little Artists” will be held during the Expo. Families can look forward to various competitions and training workshops in different fields. Ticket holders and participants will have a chance to win attractive prizes.

The highlight of the Expo will be the silver jubilee celebration “Gulf Madhyamam” on June 9, attended by eminent personalities.

“Come On Kerala” continues to be a key event reflecting the vibrant relationship between India and the UAE and celebrating the expatriate Indian community in the UAE, said VK Hamza Abbas, Editor-in-Chief, Gulf Madhyamam.

“Come On Kerala” aims to strengthen trade ties between India and the Middle East and this year will showcase a diverse programme. Building on the success of last year’s edition, this edition will also feature a range of daily programmes to engage and entertain visitors.

The celebrations will run from 10 am to 10 pm and will feature a star-studded cast, led by popular Malayala actors Nivin Pauli and Parvati Sarvot. A special highlight of this year’s event, titled “Lights, Camera, Action”, will be a session by directors Bressy and Salim Ahmed on the mini stage on the opening day. On the second and third days of the event, “Machans in Sharjah” starring Raj Kalesh and Mattukutty will enthral the audience.

For the young children, there will be a “Little Artist” drawing competition and a “Sing and Win” competition with prizes for singing lovers every day from 10 am to 12 noon.

Moreover, visitors can expand their knowledge and learn about the latest trends by participating in a “Fashion Fusion” session by Stephy Zaviur. Foodies can enjoy a culinary extravaganza that includes a Dessert Master Live Cooking Competition, a delicious Indian food stall featuring the flavours of India and a cooking workshop by Chef Pillai.

Entrepreneurs from India and the UAE will showcase their products in various sectors such as health, tourism, education, shopping and interior design, besides several consumer product displays.

The evenings will also be filled with captivating cultural events. The first day’s highlight is ‘RahMania’, featuring the timeless songs of legendary AR Rahman. ‘Waves of Memories’ on the second day will celebrate Indian womanhood, with actress Parvathi as the chief guest. The ‘Indo-Arab Women Excellence Award’ will be presented as a tribute to women who have made significant contributions in various fields.

The final day will be highlighted by ‘Beats of Kerala’, showcasing stars who have won the hearts of fans through their captivating performances on social media and stage shows. The grand silver jubilee celebration of Gulf Madhyamam will take place on the event’s concluding day, Sunday, 9th June, at 5:00.
