Real estate developer MAG pledges to cover all the costs of necessary repairs for affected Dubai residents

More developers in Dubai are stepping up to help local communities after this week’s heavy rains caused widespread flooding and damage to vehicles and property.

They promised free repairs to the affected residents.

Private property development company MAG is committed to assisting customers affected by the recent heavy rains.

MAG said in a statement: “The company will cover all necessary repair costs for residents affected by the housing development.”

“In light of the unprecedented weather conditions experienced in the UAE earlier this week, it is incumbent upon us to stand by our customers during these challenging times.

The resilience demonstrated by our residents, coupled with the supportive measures enacted by the wise government, serves as inspiration for us to extend our assistance to those in need,” said Talal Moafaq Al Gaddah, CEO of MAG Lifestyle Development.

Keturah Resort, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Keturah Reserve Townhouses and Keturah Reserve Residences are some of the major projects that are underway.

On Friday, Emaar Properties also announced that it would repair all the properties in its communities in Dubai which were damaged during the heavy rains free of cost.

“Emaar will undertake the repair of all properties within our communities that have been damaged by the recent rains at its own cost to ensure that our residents can return to their daily lives as swiftly and smoothly as possible,” said Mohamed Alabbar, chairman of Emaar Properties.

No serious damage

Damac Properties, Dubai’s largest private developer, continues to assess the extent of damage and conduct thorough assessments and processes as necessary to reassure residents that all properties are fully insured. He said he would support those involved.

It was also announced that no significant structural damage was found and that proactive measures, including regular maintenance of electrical, fire protection and alarm systems, ensured the safety of residents and property.

The developer said it worked closely with local authorities to get the community back to normal within hours of the storm’s arrival, minimizing disruption to residents. “We would like to express our gratitude to the community for their patience as we strive to embrace normalcy,” said Mohamed Tahineh, Damac’s project general manager.

Approximately 1,000 Damac employees took part in the rescue operation, with support from Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, RTA, Dubai Rescue Centre, Dewa, Civil Defense and other government agencies.
