UAE takes second place globally in new FDI projects at 1,323 in 2023

The UAE ranks second only to the United States in greenfield FDI projects announced in 2023 with 1,323 projects, up 33% compared to 2022.

In terms of FDI inflows in 2023, the UAE is set to attract $30,688 million compared to $22,737 million in 2022, registering 35% growth year-on-year.

According to the UNCTAD report, FDI outflows were recorded at $22,328 million compared to $24,833 million in 2022.

FDI outflows are expected to increase from $239.88 billion in 2022 to $262.28 billion in 2023. Emirates takes second place in the ranking of top destinations for greenfield projects after entering the top five in 2022.
