Starting this Wednesday (19 June), people who violate various parking rules in Al Ain city, Abu Dhabi, risk having their cars towed away by the authorities.

The Department of Municipality and Transport (DMT), represented by Abu Dhabi Mobility (AD Mobility), has introduced strict restrictions and announced the launch of vehicle towing services.

According to Abu Dhabi Mobility, vehicles in Al Ain will be towed based on violations. For example, vehicles without license plates in parking lots will be towed immediately to the Mawaqif Vehicle Depot in Al Ain Industrial Zone.

We also tow vehicles offered for sale, vehicles used for commercial, advertising or promotional purposes, or occupying parking spaces without authorization or whose authorization has expired.

The vehicle towing service aims to facilitate the implementation of the Mawaqif Regulation Law, which aims to regulate the use of public parking spaces and improve traffic flow in urban areas.

Abu Dhabi Mobility also called on residents of Al Ain city to adhere to the Mawaqif parking system to avoid vehicle towing and fines.

The importance of always complying with regulations on the management and organization of public parking lots was highlighted. Citizens are urged to park properly in designated places, avoid parking in prohibited areas and not obstruct vehicular traffic in order to maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure the safety of the area.

The Abu Dhabi Mobility team is also conducting educational workshops to raise public awareness of the public parking management system.
