The “We the UAE 2031 Strategic Intelligence” platform will pool extensive knowledge from around 450 global sources and 2,500 experts.

Its aim is to inform UAE policymakers, strategists and government leaders and enable them to execute the national plan aimed at positioning the UAE as a global partner and an attractive and influential business location.

The activation of “We the UAE for Strategic Intelligence 2031” took place during the Global Future Council Annual Meeting 2024 in the presence of Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Co-Chair of the Global Future Council; and Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chair of WEF.

The launch is the outcome of a strategic knowledge partnership between the UAE Government and WEF, signed during the WEF 2024 Annual Meeting in Davos in January.

Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Strategic Affairs, said the “We the UAE for Strategic Intelligence 2031” platform will be of great benefit to the government, enabling decision-makers to implement the national vision. “By integrating vast amounts of knowledge and expertise in one digital space, the platform will support the government in developing effective strategies and policies.”

Olivier Schwab, Secretary-General of the WEF, highlighted the importance of using technology in society. The government’s initiatives include: “By integrating strategic intelligence activities into the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision, the UAE demonstrates how advanced intelligence activities and forward thinking can strengthen government capabilities.”

The platform will strengthen the UAE government’s ongoing development efforts and global leadership in developing and implementing solutions to global challenges,” Schwab said.

The platform covers over 70 global policy issues of strategic importance to the UAE. Its content is based on a wide range of reports, academic papers and expert insights, including from WEF’s partner network, and includes data sets to support policymaking. The platform not only transfers knowledge but also provides a space for government leaders to exchange ideas and initiatives, fostering a more collaborative approach to public sector strategies.
