Prince William visited a high school to learn about how pupils are being supported with their mental health after being invited by a 12-year-old boy.
The Prince of Wales dropped in to St Michael’s Church of England High School in Rowley Regis, Sandwell, following the invite from Freddie Hadley, 12.
Freddie told William today that he had written to him for his help to get the message out there that it is ok to talk about mental health.
William even revealed Princess Charlotte’s favourite joke to pupils when he sat down with them.
William was asked to listen to a segment on the school radio where students were asked about their father’s favorite jokes.
He said: “Most of Jack Whitehall’s jokes are quite paternal, so I’m just going to quote them a bit.”
Then William knocks about interrupting cows” instead. I made a knock joke and said it was a very modern princess. It was a favorite of Charlotte’s, and she added:I’m hearing about it a lot now at home.”
Before William let out a loud moo,” someone else at the tabledisturbed the cow.” Who is doing it?”
Last October, Freddie posted a letter to William to mark World Mental Health Day.
William replied: “Hello Freddie. I’m so sorry that Catherine and I can’t be with you and the other students at St. Michael’s today. It’s so important that we tackle mental health issues and stigma head-on.”This is important. Please continue your work. W`
On World Mental Health Day, Prince William and Duchess Kate visited Birmingham to call for more support for mental health.
She gave a speech to young people at a factory in the city as part of a workshop.
Today at school, William met with representatives of the school’s student council to find out more about the various initiatives.
The club, which is made up of around 100 students and meets during lunch breaks and after school, was founded in 2012.
The initiatives our students develop range from fundraising to mental health and working with local seniors.
