Loose Women star Janet Street-Porter has shared an update from hospital after taking a lengthy break from the ITV show to recover from major surgery.
Just hours after having a hip replacement, Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter sent a message to her fans. Days after announcing her departure from the ITV show, the 77-year-old shared a picture from her hospital bed on Saturday afternoon. She appeared to be in good spirits.
The support of Janet’s close friends and followers was overwhelming. Katie Piper, a co-star on Loose Women, made a comment: I am overjoyed to see you already walking and smiling.
Nikki Shore, an interior designer, added: Janet, you are an inspiration, and I wish you the best in your recovery.
Additionally, comedian Sarah Millican wrote: expressing love.
On Wednesday’s episode of Trollops, Janet declared she’ll be taking a huge break from the show while she recuperates from her medical procedure and straightforwardly communicated her anxiety about the strategy.
Early on in the show, host Christine Lampard announced that it was Janet’s “last day for a little while.”
She stated: The Mirror reports, “Janet, this is your last day for a little while because you are going to the operation, which you have been waiting for a while.”
Janet proved it: Yes, I finally have to leave on Friday to have a hip replacement, and I can’t think about anything else.
“I keep dreaming about it as I sit here, shaking and shivering. “What if they can’t get it back together?” keeps coming to mind. I’ll go on Friday, have the surgery in the afternoon, stay in the hospital for a few days, and then really work on it in rehab so I can come back as soon as possible.”
As she shared, Coleen was overcome with emotion. You know, when we were talking about it this morning, it really broke my heart because you always project this tough image that nothing can break you, and at one point today, you said, “I’m really scared,” and I could have cried.
After that, Janet admitted: They advised me in March to have it done, but I delayed it, so I’m vulnerable and it’s my fault. The following weekend, I received some vegetables and, despite my best intentions, spent the entire time on all fours planting them.
“I was unable to move when I woke up on Sunday, and now that I’ve really messed up the other side of my back, I had to lie down for two days.”
