The Prince and Princess of Wales have another cause for celebration this week – Princess Charlotte’s birthday.

The youngster turns nine on May 2 and fans have been looking forward to the annual birthday photo the family release of each child on their special day. However, the Walses broke tradition last week when Prince Louis turned six, and it seems they plan the same approach this time.

That’s because the couple usually release images for their children’s birthdays under embargo the day before, in what was previously a long-standing pattern. However, last week when Louis turned six, a new picture of the young lad was posted straight to social media on Louis’ actual birthday instead.

For now, no new photos of Charlotte have been published, but this shows that the couple has no intention of returning to normal traditions. However, just like Louis, new snaps of Charlotte’s actual birthday could be posted on social media later today.

We understand that our processes have changed as families are experiencing unprecedented circumstances. Prince William and Duchess Kate reportedly asked for privacy after the princess announced her cancer diagnosis. However, she finally posted a photo of Louis last week and thanked everyone who sent her birthday wishes.

Like her siblings, Charlotte grew up largely out of the public eye. Her last public outing was on Christmas Day, when her royal family made a traditional festive appearance at King Charles’ Sandringham estate for church. She was pictured with Zara and Mike Tindall’s eldest daughter accepting gifts from her well-wishers.

In December, she attended the annual Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey, hosted by her mother Kate, with George and Louis. And a few weeks before her celebratory event, her mother volunteered to take the trio to a baby bank in Holyport, near Maidenhead, where they got stuck rummaging through her donations.

Since then, the past few months have been eventful for the Welsh family. The couple carefully shared Kate’s cancer diagnosis with their children, including 10-year-old Prince George, giving them time to process the information.

Charlotte attends her school in Lambrook, Berkshire with her siblings. Family birthday parties are likely to be held after the teen’s school. The princess is the middle child of Prince William and Duchess Kate, and she is third in line to the throne.

She was born on 2 May 2015 in the private Lind wing of St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London, weighing 3.6 kg. She was christened Charlotte Elizabeth Diana at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, surrounded by her family and friends.

When she was three years old, she lost her place in history when her younger brother Louis was born and changes in the rules regarding her primogeniture prevented her from being overtaken by Louis as her successor. left. Previously, men had priority over women, with Louis’ birth in 2018 being the first to be affected by the new changes.
