Nancy Dell’Olio arrived at the funeral of her ex-partner Sven-Goran Eriksson in an eye-catching leopard print outfit.

Nancy Dell’Olio arrived at Sven-Goran Eriksson’s funeral in a glamorous leopard print outfit, joining many of the stars who came to pay their respects to the late former England manager.

She looked emotional as she entered the church wearing black leather ankle boots, black leather leggings, a white shirt and a black blazer with a long leopard print coat draped over her shoulders. Nancy, who famously dated Sven from 1998 to 2002, wore large dark sunglasses outside and some black beads around her neck.

Mourners were seen attending Sven’s funeral in Torsby, Sweden, where he died aged 76. The Swede passed away on August 26 and tributes were pouring in for the man who coached England for five years.

A New Orleans-style funeral procession is planned, with a brass band accompanying the coffin down the 700-metre walkway from the Freiksande Church to the Kolsberg House. Funeral consultant Christopher Jansson said: “Sven was very popular.” He admitted in January this year that he had terminal pancreatic cancer, but continued to speak openly about his struggle and his desire to beat the disease.

Shortly before his death, a documentary about Eriksson’s life was aired on Amazon Prime, in which Eriksson delivered a moving final message: “I’ve lived a good life.” I think we all dread the day we die, but life also comes with death. You have to learn to accept him as he is.”

Nancy also attended the funeral of the man former England football star David Beckham worked for several times at the height of his career, and gave him a hug. The team played. The pair appeared to comfort each other with earnest embraces as they made their way to the church where Sven was to be sent off.

The songs “Candle in the Wind”, “My Way” and “Sailing” will be played at Sven’s memorial service. Hundreds of people gathered outside the church to watch the funeral on a big screen.

Other guests included football manager Roy Hodgson and Sven-Goran Eriksson’s children, Johan and Lina, who greeted mourners as they arrived at the church. Sven’s 95-year-old father also joined the mourners at the church. Sven’s coffin is covered with flowers and surrounded by six large candles.
