Body language expert Judi James said that former Strictly star Amanda Abbington appeared ‘vulnerable’ in her Newsnight interview.

In an explosive BBC interview, former Strictly Come Dancing star Amanda Abbington discussed the conduct of professional dancer Giovanni Pernice during their intimate Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals. After the BBC released the findings of an investigation into his alleged behavior toward her, the Sherlock actress spoke with Victoria Derbyshire of BBC Newsnight.

The BBC confirmed in the report that their in-house investigation supported six of Amanda’s initial 17 allegations against the Italian professional. Despite the fact that it was “one of the worst years of her life,” Amanda made it abundantly clear in the interview that she has “no regrets” regarding the complaints she made about Giovanni.

In the shocking tell-all, an expert now asserts that Amanda appeared “wary and vulnerable.” However, she also displayed “openness” in her interaction with the BBC interviewer.

The interview was analyzed by body language expert Judi James,: Here, Abbington contrasts sharply with the showbiz glitz of Strictly with his simple, stark monochrome style.

“She sits in an elegant, composed position, with her legs crossed and her arms folded in her lap, and she smiles in a way that looks polite but also a little bit wary and vulnerable,” the observer said.

The expert went on to say: Her eyes move from her interviewer to the camera as though she were having a conversation with two people, and her voice is soft but firm in intent.

Abbington responds calmly and emphatically with head batons and throws her hands out to suggest openness when she is asked about the apology.

Despite what she refers to as “One of the worst years of my life,” “she appears to be keeping any hint of drama out of her body language here.”

Judi went on to say, “Judi explained a little bit more about how Amanda might have been feeling.” She performs a tongue poke and then sucks her lips in, giving some indications of her inner feelings.

She puts on her glasses to read the report and gives examples when asked, but her movements become more rapid and her thumbs rub together as if she’s anxious or upset.

“As Pernice’s quotes are read to her, she rubs her hands together in a similar manner, and there is another wry smile.”
